Overview

Atlas OS ("we", "us", "our") is operated by AtlasVision Ltd, registered in England and Wales. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use Atlas OS at atlasos.io and through our Telegram bot.

What Data We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google OAuth. We store this to identify your account.

Google Workspace Data

With your explicit consent, we access data from your Google account including Calendar events, Google Tasks, Gmail messages, Google Contacts, and Google Drive files. This data is synced to provide Atlas OS features like schedule management, task intelligence, and email triage. We request the following Google API scopes:

  • Google Calendar (read/write)
  • Google Tasks (read/write)
  • Gmail (read, modify, send)
  • Google Contacts (read only)
  • Google Drive (read, create files)
  • Google Chat (read only)

User-Created Content

Tasks, habits, goals, projects, notes, ideas, follow-ups, contacts, and other content you create within Atlas OS. This is your data and is stored to provide the service.

Financial Data

If you connect a brokerage account via SnapTrade, we receive portfolio holdings and transaction data. We do not have access to your brokerage credentials — SnapTrade acts as a secure intermediary.

AI Conversations

Messages you send to the Atlas AI agent (via the web app or Telegram) are stored to maintain conversation history and improve your experience. These messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses.

Telegram Messages

If you connect Telegram, messages you send to the Atlas bot (including text, voice, images, and PDFs) are processed to provide AI assistance. Voice messages are transcribed using Groq's Whisper API.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage analytics (page views, feature usage) via PostHog to improve the product. We also collect error reports via Sentry to fix bugs. Both services process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide the service: Sync your Google data, manage tasks, generate AI responses, send notifications, and deliver daily briefings.
  • AI processing: Your data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI features including task prioritization, daily briefings, smart nudges, and conversational assistance. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models.
  • Pattern learning: Atlas OS analyzes your productivity patterns (task completion times, habit consistency, schedule density) to provide personalized recommendations. This processing happens on our servers.
  • Improve the product: Anonymized usage metrics help us understand which features are used and where users encounter issues.

Third-Party Services

We share data with these third parties only as necessary to provide the service:

  • Anthropic (Claude API) — AI processing for conversations, briefings, and task prioritization
  • Google APIs — Calendar, Tasks, Gmail, Contacts, Drive sync
  • SnapTrade — Brokerage portfolio data (if connected)
  • Groq — Voice message transcription and text-to-speech
  • Telegram Bot API — Message delivery (if connected)
  • Neon (PostgreSQL) — Database hosting
  • Vercel — Application hosting and serverless functions
  • PostHog — Anonymized product analytics
  • Sentry — Error tracking and monitoring

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (US-East region). Sensitive credentials (OAuth tokens, API keys) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. All connections use TLS encryption. We enforce security headers including HSTS, CSP, and X-Frame-Options.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all associated data within 30 days. Anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data we hold about you
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Disconnect Google, Telegram, or SnapTrade integrations at any time from Settings
  • Revoke Google access from your Google account settings

Google API Services User Data Policy

Atlas OS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google data to provide and improve user-facing features of Atlas OS.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Atlas OS after changes constitutes acceptance.
